About This Site

This site is in many ways like me. (And why shouldn’t it be? It’s TyUnglebower.com after all.) Neat, practical and minimalist in outward presentation while offering sincere, thought-out, well-constructed content and information on the inside. (With some frivolous and snarky content thrown in at times.)

You’ll notice the row of tabs at the top of the home page, above my name. (That’s how you got to this page.) I’m guessing their purpose and content is self-explanatory.

Then to the right is the ever-present sidebar. On it you will find a number of useful things. (We call them widgets in the blogging world.) Pretty straight forward stuff here. The lovely picture of me. Below that, my list of “Main Themes”. It’s not an exact science, but I’ve determined that the lion’s share of my content will fall under one or more of those seven broad categories. Click on one, and bingo: a list of my previous posts within that theme.

The Popular Tags cloud is similar, but more specific. Each post will be tagged with certain keywords, to narrow down the theme a bit. Click on any word to be taken to a list of all posts tagged with same.

Below that cloud is the “Follow Now” button. Clicking this is, you guessed it, the first step in formally following this blog, whereby you will receive an email whenever the site is updated.

Finally, we have a sample of my Twitter feed, plus a “Follow @TyUnglebower” button. If you’re on Twitter and enjoy what you find here, you may want to follow me on Twitter. You don’t even have to leave the page to do it, thanks to this button. Convenience, brought to you by the folks at TyUnglebower.com. (All of which are me.)

Whether you choose to visit and read each new post as they come, or just explore my posts on a given topic, each entry is an open invitation to engage in conversation with me. Feel free to leave some comments, ask some questions, and make suggestions. So long as your comments are not mean-spirited towards me or others, they are welcome.

I owe a specific debt of gratitude to J. Lea Lopez for her patience and counsel in helping me construct this website.
